I got a 192 on the PSAT and I live in Virginia. Is that enough for any type of National Acheivement award?

I’m also wondering about National Achievement Scholars Program. I’m in NJ and I got a 198 on PSAT. Is that high enough to become a semi-finalist? Any former recipients want to share their scores and state?

A good place to start is to ask your Guidance Counselor for students range the prior year(s).

It will also be dependent on what your’s states National Merit Cutoff is. I am not sure as to how many points below, I may have read 20-25, but don’t quote me

well i live in Alabama and my region typically has the lowest scores. it starts at 185. 188 was the cutoff this year (and that’s what i got!) so never give up hope. my SAT’s were pretty low also (1930). don’t stress, a path will be made for you.
