<p>D was notified today of semi-finalist status. We live in Alabama.</p>
<p>My son was notified yesterday of semi-finalist status. We live in Texas.</p>

<p>For those who may not know…the big Alabama NMF scholarship is ALSO given to the National Achievement Finalists…</p>

Free housing (including honors)
and other goodies…including an iPad and study abroad money.</p>

<p>I just found out that Alabama enrolled 30 NA freshman scholars this fall. That is an increase…usually about 12-21 NA students enroll each year. So, there’s about 80 on campus. BTW…Bama has about a 12% AA student body.</p>
<p>And, Bama enrolled 183 NMFs this fall. Bama will now have about 600 National Scholars on campus. Very good!</p>
<p>another school in alabama that offers full rides for NA is UAB uab.edu Tier 1 research university, strong in sciences and anything health related. Urban campus About 11K undergrad, 17K total</p>
