i did history day a long time ago, and i might end up doing it again next year (my senior year) because we have to do some kind of project to graduate from high school. congratulations on making it to state, your board looks really nice!

I wish there were more elaborate programs dedicated to achievement in history. I think there should be a history olympiad in lieu with the science and mathematics ones that are so prestigious.

AxnN3rd--I do too. I feel like math/science loving kids have way more opportunities to be involved. Have you tried out NHD though? You should, its really great. Depending on where you live, the regional competitions can sometimes be a joke, but states and nationals are great. You learn so much from seeing other peoples projects; performances and documentaries are especially fun to see, and you get to meet people from all over. Its so cool to meet people from Hawaii, and hear people from TX say "ya'll". It takes a lot of work and tons of research, interviews, and a lot of time, its basically like doing a science research project, except you're doing it on history.

LesOs- I did documentary all four years. Two of them have made people cry. There's nothing quite as empowering as seeing people tearing up over something you created. Congratulations, that is a feat in itself
