National Merit Finalist GPA

<p>I'm a Junior this year and I'm pretty confident that I can make the cutoff for the National Merit Semifinals. The problem is, I have a 2.7 GPA (3.15 weighted) and apparently you need a 3.5 GPA.</p>

<p>I switched over from the magnet school to a much easier private school. I'm taking honors classes and I expect to get at least a 4.0 weighted GPA this year.</p>

<p>The problem is, does National Merit count weighted GPA or unweighted GPA? I know I'm pretty much screwed if they count unweighted GPA.</p>

<p>That seems reassuring, I wonder why they seem so reluctant to post very detailed information.</p>
