National Merit Notification?

I received a College-Sponsored Scholarship from the University of Tulsa. Full tuition and room and board for 4 years!

Just received the $2500 scholarship today! Congrats to everybody who has received awards, and good luck to those still waiting.

Congratulations both of you! What state do you live in, lobgent? I'm kinda hoping I get a letter letting me know if I got one here in California sometime soon...

Did you receive notification via email or regular mail?

Found a nice little envelope in the mail today for $2500 as well - lovely surprise :)
Joseph.lyle - I'm in Oregon, so you should be hearing pretty soon, I'd think.

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Congratulations everybody! When was it dated?

D received corporate sponsored notification today.

Mine was dated 3/20

I'm wondering. Is it common for corporate-sponsored National Merit scholarships to be given to students whose parents are not employees of the corporation?

whoa! I'm in MA and have not received anything. Hopefully soon......!

D received notice of corporate sponsored scholarship (Dad's employer) on Friday. Letter was sent via regular USPS mail.

I don't think so. Not only that you have to be employed for 4 years to get them. Oh well, it's free money.

ahh so happy! got my $2500 letter today. never even heard about my company before (OMNOVA Solutions) but yay $2500!!!!

so I got one .. but the deadline to reply is the second??! What if I choose a different college??

I guess this would be a good thread on which to ask people when you get notification that you've made semifinalist level? I've heard that it's in the fall, but no one at school will tell me... I guess they don't want me to go all suicidal if I don't make it or something >.<

Thanks!

If my memory serves me correctly it was after Xmas last year. She was notified in January, turned the app by Feb.

tinuviel, your school receives the notification and should tell you in late August/early September. Please note that some schools can be a bit haphazard about relating this information, based on prior postings. Stay tuned to CC - you'll see people posting about notification around that time.

Just found out I won a $2500 NM-sponsored scholarship! First scholarship I got...yes!! :D

I called NMSC today and they said you don't have to be employed 4 years to get this money.

If you are not getting the $2,500 do they let you know or do you just not get anything? Anyone know?
