National Merit Scholarship

Our focus has been on the NMF full-tuition deal since Trustee critieria seems tough / difficult to predict. It’s soundling like we would know the NMF full-tuition answer by April.

For families with full-ride deals (rare but wonderful!) on the line, a July answer won’t work. Very strange.

Got my letter today, for the full-tuition National Merit scholarship. You automatically get accepted into Honors if you get it and you have to do 100 annual hours of civic engagement. Good luck to everyone on here

CONGRATS!
Where do you live and when did you send NEU your finalist notification?

I live in CT, sent them the notification on February 12th i think, give or take a day. Then just got the letter from them in today’s mail

Will you be attending?
And CONGRATS, again!

just got my letter too… pretty excited… will most likely be attending

2UNCorBUST: what is your prospective major? And I am also wondering if you will be attending?

Yes I will most likely be attending. My major is undecided I really have no idea, maybe some type of business or finance

In spite of everything I have been told about not awarding this scholarship until summer, my son got a letter today saying he got the Trustee’s Scholarship. He is overseas on a school trip and when I opened it, I was speechless. Congratulations to all who have gotten scholarships.

Congrats, momofnmf.
My son got his National Merit Scholarship notification letter from NEU today.

cool… im glad to see northeastern coming through so early on these scholarships… hopefully see all of you at orientation!

I’m glad to hear scholarships letters are coming. At this point, is it just for EA? Or are there RD/scholarship letter coming too?

My son was accepted EA.

My son was also accepted EA.

@colorado_mom

Scholarships are coming out now for RD…I got an email an hour ago telling me my decision was up online, and when I checked I got the scholarship :)

Congrats, Ripriprip.
My son received a NMF scholarship also.

Will you be attending?

Does anyone know how many NMFs were enrolled last year?

@Ripriprip Same, same! I nearly jumped around the house when I read the words “full tuition.”

and by nearly, I mean I totally did.

its awesome to see all these full tuition scholarships! anyone else going in engineering?

My son received a NMF scholarship also. That makes NEU a better deal than our state schools/scholarships, and he seems to like the NEU option better. He is still waiting to hear from other schools too, so we will have a lot to discuss over the next month.
