I recently received an email from the National Society of Collegiate Scholars asking me to become a remember, I was a member of the NSHS, because one of my teacher’s recommended me and I chose to accept. However the fee to be a collegiate member is much more expensive and I was wondering what your personal thoughts are on joining. Have you felt like you (or your child ) being a member of NSCS has benefited you (or them) or is it not that beneficial? I’ve done some reading in the society and I would like to hear some personal thoughts before I make my final decision. Thanks for any advice!
Nope, it’s worthless. Don’t waste your money.
Just curious… Did you receive any benefit from being a member of the NSHS? My daughter was invited to that, but in my research, I got the impression that it is just a money making scheme.
@bethanylm291 I applied to a few scholarships through them but never heard back. I just saw a bunch of my peers who were also members so I figured there was some benefit, and my teacher also referred me so I figured it was a great thing. That’s why I’m curious about whether NSCS is the same.
@itsintheprocess Did you actually verify that your teacher recommended you or is that what the invitation said?
@bethanylm291 the message said it, but my teacher also verified with me (or at least she hinted at it because she asked me if I can heard from them)
