i just got a letter telling me i've been nominated, but is this thing worth joining though? or is it just like who's who and all those other organizations that are just trying to get your money...

i dunno but i got it too

yep, you guessed right. whoever pays gets in; not prestigious at all. Don't bother- unless you have money to throw around....or just want to do it.

I was under the impression that Who's Who was reputable and a little prestigious. Was I wrong?

Anyway, any high school honor society that makes you pay for it isn't worth it. The only one really worth it is National Honor Society, because they are pretty well recognized (especially if you're an officer), and plus if you're lucky you can get a nice scholarship as well.

well the problem with who's who is that basically anyone can get in because the company wants to make money by selling those books with all of your achievements in it and what not...
