Hey guys
So I was recently admitted to the NYLF program’s aviation and business summer programs. They claim to be a prestigious program that admits a few amount of applicants, however, other sources such as PrepScholar disagree. Pretty much calling it a money grab since they do not require GPA or an essay. Does anybody know if this program truly is as prestigious as it says it is? Or is it not a prestigious program.
Also can someone also please list other prestigious business and or aviation summer programs for high schoolers. Thanks!
Most of these summer programs won’t make a difference in your chances of college admissions. So don’t look for them for that reason. Look for summer activities that allow you to explore your interests and possibly make a bit of money to put toward the cost of college. This is not about “resume building”. It is about your own personal growth. If you like the activities that the NYLF program is offering, and it is affordable, then go ahead and do it.
^1000% agree with the statement above BUT if you are interested in checking out other business summer programs, LaunchX and QuarterZero are great ones! I’d definitely check them out (even though the $ to attend is kinda ridiculous)
