Naval academy class of 2013

I second that! :D

first off, schwimmer is a girl. did you even read her post?

second, i dont need you to lecture me. yes, we all waited. the difference is that i didnt display a sense of superiority on here. her comment is arrogant as hell, and its obnoxious. she better check the attitude before she gets eaten alive during plebe summer.

Hey guys,

Saw alot of Florida acceptances, so I thought I might as well add to the Texas pool. My name's Erick Capulong. I' m from Lubbock, Texas. I just got my LOA 3 days ago saying I'm missing a medical waiver, which also got approved 3 days ago. Now I'm just waiting on my B&G folder. :)

Can't wait to see yall next year!

How exciting. Gets the blood a boilin.

It's interesting USNA is still sending LOAs.

IMO, calling people "obnoxious" and "arrogant" in public forum is, well, perhaps the pot calling the kettle black.

How about considering that you will soon all be shipmates. One thing that is very clear is that you NEVER "bilge" a shipmate. That is, you help each other out, you don't bring each other down or show each other up.

OK, here's the start of a short list of appointees for the Class of 2013 from this thread. Just copy the list and add new information, and let's see how many appointees we can list. Congratulations to all!

While it may not be hellish for most, it may not be "fun" for many. Unless one has been previously sufficiently miserable?:confused:

However, it's clearly survivable, and for those mentally and physically prepared, perhaps less hellish, more "fun"?;)

Hey, I'm xenia_guy from Xenia, IL, a pretty small town pretty far south of Chicago. I went to Summer Seminar Session #2, got my LOA back in September, and my B&G folder in late December. Also, one of my nominations came from then-senator, now-President Obama, how cool is that? I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm still kind of shocked and amazed that I've made it so far. I'm praying nothing happens between now and July 1, I'm so pumped for Plebe Summer!

Hahah, you know it! :D I'm excited.

I'm John Smith (yes that is my name) from Richmond, Virginia, and I got my LOA and my appointment recently. I was nominated by Senator John Warner, and I was in Charlie Company under Mr. T. Terronez (If I mispelled your name I apologize) during the Third Session of NASS and sea trials was definitely my favorate part of the week. I'm an All-state pole vaulter, and an Eagle Scout with bronze palm, and to tell you the truth I can't wait for plebe summer.

Hey Smitty, think of the upside. You coulda been John Doe. Or a boy named Sue.

Congrats to all. We can literally feel your excitement.:D

Now, behave, keep studying thru the finish line, and stay healthy.

Your next mission: *I DAY! * Be square, get there!!

This is a question for any current midshipmen or alumni, or anybody who may know for a fact. I was wondering if plebes, or midshipmen in general, were allowed to have electronic watches?

Not sure about during Plebe Summer. During Ac year, having an accurate watch of some type is absolutely essential. As my Plebe told me, "If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. If you're late, you get left behind." (

wats the policy on Ipods beacuse when I went down to CVW my plebe said it was fine to listen to it, but can plebes have them after plebe summer?
