Naviance Recs Confusion

Hi!
My school uses Naviance to submit teacher reccomendations. For common app schools, it’s pretty straightforward as your common app account and naviance account are linked. But as MIT is not on the common app, I was wondering if someone could explain how it works. Do I just ignore MIT’s rec portal and just let my school send the recs? Also, if i want to submit a supplemental reccomendation, how do I go about doing that? I can’t add the supplemental recs to naviance so do I submit only the supp rec through the portal? Thanks.

I have the same questions. My daughter had two different teachers submit their recommendations through Naviance, and only one teacher shows up in her common app. Not sure if there is an additional step to add the second teacher? The first went in automatically.

I’m also not sure about the supplementals. One of daughter’s schools wants a copy of the same recommendations for the department she is applying to, but the recommendation needs the date of the audition/interview in the letter. So they are essentially asking the teacher to re-write their recommendation with that date and submit it again. I think this is too much to ask.
