Navy SEAP 2015

Has any one heard from Monterey NPL or NRL?

What lab did you apply to?

AFRRI in Maryland

They emailed me, and I called them for a phone interview. Not sure if all labs do it like this, but it was very informal and the lady was very nice. Should I keep in contact with them, or just let things play out?

Okay. Just got my SAT Subject Test scores and I want to share them with Navy SEAP. Is that appropriate?

Has anybody received an email about admits or rejects?

@alpume No, I haven’t heard anything but I doubt I made it in… =/

I got an email today!

Officially rejected, but congrats to everyone who made it in!

Made it in. If you have any questions or concerns, let me know.

Dear _______,

Thank you for your application to the Science & Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP). This year, ONR received applications from over 3,800 outstandingly qualified students, making the selection process extremely difficult. Regrettably, at this time, our participating laboratories are unable to offer you an appointment for the 2015 program.

Representatives of the participating Navy labs conscientiously reviewed each application. Selections reflected the best match between research interests of the applicants and the ongoing projects of each specific Navy lab.

There may be a few candidates who will be unable to accept the offer to participate in this summer’s program, at which time a few alternate candidates will receive offers. We will notify you if you become an alternate candidate.

We encourage you to apply again next year, since the research priorities at each center can change from year to year.

Once again thank you for your application, and best wishes in your future professional endeavors.

Very Respectfully,

The SEAP Program Team

@WantInternship‌ Ain’t a thing man. With 3800 applicants, and only a few spots, this kind of stuff gets really selective.

Got rejected. Do you think there is anything that we should focus on for our applications next year?

Nevermind
