USAFA or USNA?

<p>hey y’all. so i know this question is going to come up sooner or later (again), but i wanted to share something. doing an exchange here at Navy, i get some inside info with exchange and what not. a couple nights ago, all of 2010 in my company (squadron equivalent) got an e-mail from a squid on exchange to USAFA. cutting out personal stuff, it read:</p>

<p>“it’s an awesome deal, the people are great and the scenery change is really nice. I’ve only been here about 2 weeks and I wish I had known about this school before I applied to the (Naval) Academy.”</p>

<p>so not saying choose USAFA, but make sure you explore your options before you choose.</p>

<p>Similar story with my squad's Navy exchange last fall. Have one now who's starting to sound similar. lol. Different atmospheres.</p>

<p>i actually like the kayaker we have in our squad. he's a really nice guy, funny as heck too</p>

<p>and we probably have a nicer golf course...</p>

<p>but yeah that's what my sister told me...she is a C2C this school year and she told me that the midshipmen who exchange to USAFA like it a lot.</p>

<p>so its Air Force/Navy week, which should be fun and spirited, right? Well, here at Navy last night, a plebe (4 dig, freshman) decided to take a pair of white works (white plebe summer uniform), light it on fire, and through it out a window. so obviously he's in huge trouble, but all spirit activities are currently suspended, as "Air Force week is secured"</p>

<p>pretty big bummer. we Zoomies didn't even get to do our mission last night. hopefully we'll still be able to pull out a couple things before the week's end</p>

<p>lol. One of my 4 dig males is wearing the White Navy uniform with the skirt and high black socks. Looks ridiculous! :) Our navy girl only has one of the larger 4 dig males uniforms. If it gets windy, she's screwed with that parachute on!</p>

<p>I had to smile when I saw a mid in Fairchild wearing an issued bath robe. If only he had a cigar to play off the "smoking jacket" look.</p>

<p>Nice hornetguy. Hes a friend of mine and I saw him today. He started laughing when I saw him and a full colonel who was walking behind him was trying to figure out what he was doing.</p>

<p>oh yeah, i saw a mid in a bathrobe today.. haha. i've been wearin the navy whites all day, it's actually pretty spiffy and comfy!</p>

<p>last night, my squad stole our mids uniforms, bedding, and keys to his car. so he promptly flipped all of our beds during lunch! we have another mission planned for tonight though! if it gets approved.</p>

<p>Are you serious right now? This is Navy Week, go get 'em!!</p>

<p>07PETKO, my thoughts exactly. And also for the zoomies at Annapolis this week. Spirit activities 'suspended'? That is going to stop eagle and friends?</p>

<p>when someone got arrested last night, a zoomie is already in a tight spot from a previous activity, and being ordered numerous times to get approval, yes it will.</p>

<p>unfortunately one grand plan was denied, and another one cannot occur due to timing circumstances. so sry to disappoint, but we're not making a great showing here.</p>

<p>on another note, i'm still wearing my flight suit, but my computer monitor was stolen and returned with a couple scratches on the screen. so i'm (needless to say) ****ed. oh, and the week is getting reinstated tomorrow morning</p>

<p>Well Eagle we have our squid's uniforms, door, and bedding, hope that makes things a little better.</p>

<p>Yes, and that squid's room mate is going to eat all your heads for breakfast soon since she has two GRs tomorrow and doesn't have a door to study behind....</p>

<p>You guys are causing me to lose sleep. One of my mids emailed me last year in a consternation as to whether she should exchange at USAFA or WP. I hope she is there now because she could not get WP, not because of my recommendation.</p>
