Current major choice Computer Science or Engineering.
UNC does not offer engineering except for a joint biomedical engineering with NC State. For computer science, you can’t go wrong with either of them. NC State does offer computer engineering as well as computer science so there is a bit more of a choice also. UNC is more of a liberal arts university and State is more of an engineering school. Visit both and see where you fit in better.

We are not from North Carolina. One son went to UNC and one to State. For those majors - it is a no brainer, NC state. My son majoring in engineering loves it there. My son who did not major in engineering, loved UNC.
