App State vs. UNC-W?

I’ve been accepted to both. No scholarships from them. They are relatively around each other price level wise. I applied into their business schools to pursue Finance.

Essentially, I’d like to know the pros and cons of both schools, which business school is better, the social scene, all the bits and pieces really. Wish they had suites you could apply for, but I guess you gotta experience true college with a traditional dorm. The weather for both places don’t bother me at all.

I’m so stuck between each other, it’s insane and I don’t really know which one to choose, so thanks for any information you could provide.

Hey OP!! I’m a freshman at UNCW, hoping to provide some decent perspective for you here. I’m planning on entering the Cameron School of Business. There’s an executive network here and Cameron is very well-respected. Overall pros are very strong overall academics, relatively strong student body, the beach, beautiful weather, awesome city, fantastic down-to-earth people, beautiful people, great sense of community. The dorms here aren’t at all bad. And you can be placed into the University Suites as a freshman. The only con that I can see is that we don’t have a football team (which I don’t really care about all that much).

App State is a very good school as well, equal to us for the most part. Their business school is also very good. I’m not personally a fan of the cold and snow (came to UNCW from OOS to avoid that), but I can see how it would attract some people. Coincidentally, my roommate is from Boone lol.

Overall, you can’t go wrong with either school, but I definitely would recommend you to come here. If you have any more questions, ask on my thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-north-carolina-wilmington/1827864-ask-a-current-uncw-student.html#latest
