NCSSM Application Chance

Could you list the 13 CD’s from in order from rigorous/competitive to easy or less competitive please?
I am currently in the application process and am pretty sure I will not get in. I live in CD 7

I know this shouldn’t be an excuse, but my high school doesn’t have that many activities. I wanted to take AP Calc but they said I was going to be with people out of my age group meaning that I will be projected to not do as well. How am I suppose to do great stuff with such harsh restrictions while other students in other schools are taking like 5 AP classes their sophomore year? I live in johnston county and it is rough!

Does NCSSM have to accepted specific amount of people from each county or CD?

These are my stats: (what do you think?)

I’m really worried. Please give me the straight up bad news.
My interview (discovery day) at NCSSM is coming up. How can I give a good impression?
What are 5 good reasons to go to NCSSM?

How did you take that many classes 9th grade? I took ten, 4 each semester + 1 online. Also, what is Essentials of English?

One of my cousins goes to a school that offers Essentials of English. It is like a prep course or another English course that you can take before taking English I. They offer it in standard and honors. Our school district does not offer this course. I personally don’t see the need.

At my school we can take up to about 10 to 12 courses a year but that is only because stuff like Marching and Jazz band are after school and you can take 1 online course a semester. @cler1010…How did you take so many courses in 9th grade? I hope you get in to NCSSM!!! I’m not applying until next year.

One good reason is that NCSSM will challenge you more than your current school and will provide you with more advanced learning opportunities! Just be honest about your reasons for wanting to attend.

@babyshuf2 Thank-you for you’re response, hope you make it. @plainpotato‌ I’m sorry, I forgot to add the “10th” before Honors Discrete Math. Also, essentials is just a course to get you prepared for English I -__-. It is not required anymore, but im just glad is is Honors. Do you guys mind to post stats or keep talking

oh I’m in 9th currently- applying next year.
