My daughter’s letter took a week to get to a suburb of Boston last year; it was very nerve-racking. Good news is she was accepted and loving her freshman year. So, try to be patient when you don’t get it right away.

My guidance counselor called ND Admissions yesterday and they told her they are mailing the letters at the beginning of next week.

musicclassic1515: are you sure maybe your guidance counselor didn’t mean that you’d receive them early next week?

It would be hard for them to guarantee that every single person would have them by the 20th like they promised if they sent them next week so its weird they wouldn’t send them out this week–like tomorrow…

I agree if they plan on mailing them next Monday they would have to have decisions made by this week anyways. I would bet they mail them tomorrow or friday at the latest.

Exactly amgirl3838, the guidance counselor must have meant that the letter will be received early next week (because most domestic letters are received a couple days before the 20th). I hope they mail them tomorrow!

I really hope it’s tomorrow too! Last person who asked admissions said they estimated we’d get them about a week before Christmas, right? So that guidance counselor must have meant we’d get the letter early next week.

I’m being optimistic! If they send it tomorrow, USPS calculates that it should get to me on Saturday! So hopefully, if USPS stays true to what I know about it, it should be in Monday’s mail! Hahaha I’m just excited that the wait is almost over!

Yeah I really hope they stick with their trend of sending the letters out on Thursdays so we all get them Saturday or early next week! They said they’ll tweet when they put them in the mail.

An admissions counselor at Notre Dame told me letters will be sent out Friday the 14th at the latest.

Yaaay! Thank you now at least we know they’ll be sent this week! Just have to wait for the tweet!

Their twitter tells us that they haven’t mailed decisions yet, but “are getting very close :)”. They also tweeted that “Making decisions and preparing letters is a fluid process. We don’t release a date because it could quickly change.”

Right, but they promised to tweet it when they mailed the letters out so we’ll definitely know when they’re in the mail!

Oh I know! Haha just thought we needed an update :)

This week can not end fast enough. They were “close” yesterday, “very close” today, and possibly finished tomorrow? I’m liking the trend!

I know, I’m liking the trend too! The end is definitely nigh. Better start mentally preparing myself…

I’m giving up hope that they’re mailing them today but hopefully tomorrow, and then I’ll have my letter by Tuesday.

Any word on whether they have been sent? Has anyone called the admissions office?

They haven’t tweeted that they mailed them yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Would the admissions office really tweet that they mailed the acceptance letters? Really?
