@kingaroo I live in Chicago suburbs too and I’m hoping for a Saturday delivery day. Someone said that in the past Chicagoland people got them Saturday so chances are it’ll come on Saturday!

kingaroo, I totally get how you feel. I cannot concentrate on this AP Calc homework right now, it’s just not happening!

Ahhhh okay. I was getting my hopes up for tomorrow. :(( dang. I guess I’ll be waiting by my window and attacking the mailman when he comes on Saturday. ;p

Oh even better… I have a BC test tomorrow too. and my birthday is on Sunday. Along with a concert on Saturday and a snowboarding trip. This letter literally sets the tone for my whole month/winter break; I’ll either be crying or bouncing off the walls at all of these things. D:

Well either way. Good luck to all of us. I’ll be praying and praying and praying. Thank you @2CHiLLaXiN for the candle! I lit my own over the summer. <3 We’re all fantastic candidates and no matter what we will find our place! For now we can only hope that that place will be under the golden dome. ;)

When do you think I’ll get my letter in Texas? (I live in a big city). I’m hoping so much for Saturday but idk…

@texanhopeful, last year my daughter got her letter (in the Dallas area) on Monday, as did several Houston students, although at least one Houston person got his on Tuesday.

Good luck to everyone!

Also an international here. It’s weird bc they say we will get an e-mail the day the letters are sent, but well… still nothing in the mailbox yet.
I really hope it’s an acceptance =w= I seriously need one after Northwestern’s rejection…

No letter today in Chicago western suburbs, so it appears predictions are accurate.

Your mail comes early, confetti! Ours in Northern VA, outside of DC, comes usually late afternoon. Earlier this week, however, mail was delivered at 9pm!!! Don’t think I could take it if I have to wait that late every night for DD’s letter–she still doesn’t know they’ve been mailed, though, so still just me freaking :)

Yikes - nerves are very raw now! We are in Minneapolis, so hopefully DS will receive his tomorrow. He works, so if I see a BIG WHITE envelope, I’ll drive it to him at work Thanks 2CHILLaXIN for the heads up on what to look for.

Does anyone know that stats of kids that are deferred who actually are accepted RD? DS applied EA with another very strong candidate from our HS, both with 33/34 ACT, top 10% of class, tons of strong EC. DS is a NMSF is the only advantage he has over the other kid, and DS said last night, “Mom, they are not going to admit both of us EA.” I hope he’s wrong!!!

There is no quota for how many students they admit EA from a particular school. My son was accepted EA as were several of his classmates several years ago.

Just got the envelope in Ft. Wayne! #Accepted!!!

Congratulations irish318!! No letter today for me in Chicago suburbs so hopefully tomorrow!

Congrats irish318!!! Was ND your first choice?

I literally just had a heart attack. I’m in the Chicago suburbs so I read earlier that they didn’t get here yet, but I go to my mailbox and there’s a small ND envelope inside. My heart drops.

…Turns out it’s a credit waiver form. I took a medical terminology class through the local community college that was offered on my high school campus, and I wrote that on my common app. They just want me to sign off that I can’t get credit for it.

Did anyone else get this? It’s dated December 10th… Would they even waste their paper sending them to people that weren’t admitted?

I know I’m overanalyzing but it seems like some of the phrases were really definite, hinting towards admission. ahhhh stress… Looks like ill know tomorrow!

P.S. Congrats irish318!!! First one on CC! ;)

No letter today in Chicago. (Does anyone else live in the actual city here even? lol)

rejected got an email

You got an email, s2jhlee? I thought they didn’t send emails. I’m so sorry :(

I’m an international student, and they sent me an e-mail. ACCEPTED!

Post stats if you have been accepted in that results thread.

smd640 - thanks for that bit of info. Around several of the Mpls/St. Paul private schools, they seem to be very selective as to how many students they let in each year, no matter the criteria. DS is nervous about that, as there are so many very qualified classmates in his '13 class.

Congratulations Irish318!!!
