I have been accepted at ND and at Boston College in the Honors program for the Carroll School of Business. Would appreciate any thoughts as I make my decision.

It honestly depends on what you are looking for. If you want a big city, Boston is great. I personally think ND has a better business program (Mendoza is ranked number 2 in the nation) and is also better if you are looking for a Catholic environment. If you don’t want that, then BC may be a better option.

I personally wouldn’t let the honors program enter too much into the decision. I hope that helps some.

ya, i have actually heard negative things about the honors program (like you have to take a lot more english and philosophy - i dont know if this is true though).

ND is very similar to BC only a step above. the sports atmosphere is important at both, but better at ND, the catholic environment is important at both, but more prevalent at ND, the campus is great at both, but better at ND, etc.

if this matters to you at all, i hear the kids who go to BC are the ones who get rejected from ND (meaning most people prefer ND over BC). however, both schools are definitely good with great sports and school spirit, ND is just more prestigious and a tad bit more catholic.

i also got into both for business (although not honors), and my brother (who btw goes to BC and LOVES LOVES LOVES it) actually told me to pick ND anyway, without hesitation.

put simply, ND is more respected and more prestigious than BC, but im sure you will be happy at whichever school you pick!
