Things we love about NEC:

The people are very nice and professional

The buildings are historic and charming

Jordon Hall is amazing

Audition went smoothly and was very well organized

Plenty of practice time (even though they say you only get 10 min D went early and had 45 in an empty room as well as everyone else who was auditioning at around the same time)

Professional accompanists: D only needed the 10 min with hers; he was very good and already knew the rep

Voice studios are upstairs in Jordan Hall, and are large, as well as bright and cheerful. The hallways are wide and arched

Practice rooms are nice with a windows overlooking the city

Classrooms are small but for the most part, bright and open

Students spoke highly of their teachers and looked very happy

T stations well lit and close to the school

All of Boston available to you within 15 min or less on the T

Affordable restaurants across the street ( Starbucks, Burger King etc...) CVS and Shaw's, just a few blocks away

BSO,Museum,Christian Science Church, next door

Safe/Nice Area

Reasonable Hotels and Unreasonable shopping :) within a couple of blocks

Lots and Lots of musicians and college students walking around on the streets and riding the T

Guards at entrances

Bostonians polite and helpful for the most part
