So I'm paranoid about the list of colleges I have as two of them are high reaches, two matches, and only one safety. Just to feel less insecure, can anyone help me find some safeties just based on my academics?

Majors of Interest: Media Studies/Mass Communications
GPA - Unweighted: 3.79
GPA - Weighted: 5.42
Class Rank: 18 of 632; top 5%
Preferred Region: West Coast or Texas

We don’t really have an accurate idea of you since you only provided your GPA, but I can tell you that I just visited the west coast, and I was blown away by USC, UCSB, and LMU. I’m from Texas also and will apply to UT Austin. There’s obviously Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Do some research. There are plenty of schools out there!

Forgot to mention that I do not dig colleges with over 3k people.
I have been doing research but I haven’t been running into much luck.
Maybe I am being too specific?

Oops, I though I included my ACT score. Sorry about that.
My ACT score is a 27. Retaking in June.
I’m not too sure how much my family can afford—it’s no doubt not very much—but probably less that $5000.

Also I was referring the “too specific” part to something else, but you are correct, I do need to provide a little more information.

If you are worried about financial burdens, you should stay in-state. Out of state and private schools will be very expensive, around $35,000+ in tuition and fees alone, not including living cost.

If you are in Texas, UT - Austin is an obvious best pick, followed by A&M, and TTech.

I was merely guessing but when I used the CB EFC calculator, I think it was much, much lower.
Quite aware of that and have been prepping myself daily.
