need advice about a teacher/class

imagine you're in a class where the teacher tries to, but cannot teach, and half (literally) of what she does teach is incorrect...
the class is 1/4 of the way over, but you've only had the teacher for 2 weeks...
the class is twice as big as it should be...
the teacher takes off for correct answers...

what would you do? btw, it's a core class that i'd really like to have, but not if i'm learning absolutely nothing

If the teacher is really marking correct answers as wrong, then you need to submit a grievance to the administration. If the teacher just cannot teach, get over it and study more.

why in hell would a teacher take off points for correct answers?

no clue, cantstandmenow...our entire class wrote (2pi)^2 on the test, and she marked all of them wrong b/c we didn't have 4pi^2...makes no sense
averagemathgeek...i don't think we're gonna be able to get over it...i assure you that at least half of our class has like the same complaint, and our class is not one to just "get over it" when academics is concerned
so what would you guys do?

I don't think you should "just get over it" vis-a-vis unscrupulous grading policies. You need to ask the teacher to justify the grading decision. If you still strongly disagree, go to an administrator.

ahh yea my calc teacher sometimes takes points off for stuff like that..like sometimes he wants stuff multiplied out and sometimes he doesnt..it can get kinda confusing
