Need Advice ASAP

So my college decision process has been nothing but stressful. NYU was my first choice and I was absolutely heartbroken when I was waitlisted. I put so much faith in getting off the waitlist that I didn’t put much thought into the schools I had been accepted to which were University of Florida, Penn State Main, and Temple University. On April 30th I decided to committ to UF because I was so against going to PSU. My family are huge Penn Staters and while I love Penn State because I grew up with it I just didn’t feel like I belonged there. On May 1 though I had a change of heart because I didn’t want to go so far away and I flopped my enrollment and chose Penn State. At this time though I was still counting on getting off the WL at NYU. Flash Forward to mid July still on the WL and I just attended orientation at PSU. This is where it really hit me that I may have made a mistake. Something just felt off and I regretted not choosing a city school. Temple was the only city school I had been accepted to and now I’m regretting not going there. I was offered a pretty good scholarship which I may have been able to graduate with little to no debt and it’s only an hour from home rather than 3 like PSU. I really don’t like how PSU is in the middle of nowhere, which is something I really wanted to avoid. My question is is there any way Temple would reextend their offer of admission so late? I really doubt it but I’m just wondering. I really regret not taking this more seriously back in April when I found out I was waitlisted. :frowning: Also I haven’t told my parents any of this because they both went to and love PSU and would be really upset.

Have you considered picking up the telephone, calling someone, and asking them?

If you stay at Penn State, pretty soon you will have enough school work and enough going on socially that you will be too busy to miss being in a city.

It’s not really as big of a catastrophe as you are making it out to be. If need be, you will find a way to make it work.

Call them. There is a very good chance the scholarship is no longer available. You need to talk with your parents about whether that makes a difference.

Agree with ^^^. All you have to do is call and ask, (I’m sure you wouldn’t be the first time they heard this kind of thing) and you will always wonder if you don’t. In a 5 minute phone call you could have all your answers.

Best thing to do is call them. If they have already reallocated the funding then you probably will not receive the scholarship. However, you never know til you call as everyone else said.
