need advice from "leaders"

ok so basically here's my story:
i'm a junior in highschool with no leadership whatsoever. yes i'm in a few clubs here and there, doing 1 internship and get pretty good grades in school, the problem is that getting a leadership position in my school is tough. the problem is that competitive kids in my school DO exist. if not school, is there any other place i can build my "leadership skills" to impress those college admission officers? thanks i'd really appreciate it..i'm going paranoid and am afraid that its too late =[

Many seniors at my school create their own clubs so they can be president of something. A number of new clubs have cropped up this year, including a history club, a humane society group, and a Stepmania club. Why not find a common interest amongst your peers and get a club started?

Initiate fund raisers and drives, make it into an organization. Leader of organization is now the key title, not club leader, because that has long since become cliche. You need to start organizations that raise an definitive amount for some cause that you are good at pretending to care about... that should do the trick.

Well, if you started a research organization that found the cure for cancer...........

If you fail to do that,
Fundraise.
If you raised $200 thousand for charity and $50 thousand for your school,
THAT is pretty awesome if you coordinated and led the whole organization.
Basically agreeing with the guy above.
