I know I've already posted about this, but now that I know the other classes I'm taking I'll ask again. I'm really awful at math. I didn't do well in precalc at all. My only options next year are AP Calc or retake precalc. Would it look bad if retake precalc with these as my other classes:
Ap us gov.
AP macro.
College biology
College Spanish
College English
Psychology

How can you do well in AP Calc if you did poorly in precalc? I say just retake it. AP Calc won’t be any easier than precalc so you should feel confident in your math skills before you move on.

That is, if you really didn’t do well. A lot of people here think that anything other than an A+ is bad; if you got at least a B I think you’ll be fine.

I was in the 80s all year. Most of the time it was because I always did homework, which we just got a grade for doing. Tests weren’t so great. I think it was mostly luck when I did well.

I think you’ll be fine in AP calc but if you feel uncomfortable then maybe review some material from precalc in the summer before school starts and see if you can get more confident with it.

I think the main thing that worries me is that it will bring my GPA down. I don’t want colleges to look at it and be like “she can’t handle harder classes”
