need advice.

ok, so in high school i took 5 community college classes, but i took them at 3 different CC's. heres my grades:

foothill community college
american goverment - B

de anza community college
financial accounting - A
abnormal psychology - A

san jose city college
intro to business - A
small business mgmt - A

do i have to report that B on AMCAS? can i just not send the other two transcripts to my undergrad school (which i will be attending this fall as a freshman) and sort of hide the transcript with the B from AMCAS? or can i just retake american government at berkeley and replace the score...? does anyone know my options!? :( thanks in advance.

Those aren't supposed to affect your GPA are they?

I think the UCs just give you credits but don't show the grade...kinda like AP tests. I'm curious to know how the AMCAS deals with students who have taken college level courses prior to their Freshmen year in college.

yes, the uc's only give raw credit for community college classes. but im considering the AMCAS medical school application, not my berkeley transcript.

so the two gpas are different?

spikedsoymilk: yes

again, my original question: does AMCAS require that you report community college classes that you took before entering as an freshman undergraduate during the fall?

Or you could be honest and report it. I can't even believe you're considering this. I used to think medicine was an honorable profession. I'll go back to the Service Academy boards now.

Will colleges give you credit for these? Will they give it towards elective credits, general-education requirement, or for your B.S. degree for your major? Reply Thanks

depends on the college. best advice is to ask the college you are attending.

but, they will ask you why you took so and so classes at a community college instead of in your university in the interview.

ok, let me put it this way:

you are "supposed" to report all of those credits -yes, including those taken while as a dual-enrollment high school student!

Nevertheless, should you "forget" to report this anywhere (including to your current undergraduate school), there would be no real way to know or enforce you to report them. So, it's you decision. Basically, you can "forget" you even attended that school from now on, if your intention is to ignore the B.

Whatever you do, do something you can live with:).

If you forget and your caught they will kick you out of med schools. There is a statement on the AMCAS app that you have to sign that aknowledges everything is the truth and nothing is left out.

Should you be able to take it over again? You could just say it was for fun or even just say I got a bad grade so I don't want to report it. Do you have to report it?

eh w/e ill report it. no use in risking my admissions.

good choice:)
