need any help I can get on ACT science!

Hey everyone,

After taking many practice tests, I have basically mastered all aspects of the ACT, but my science score can vary from mid 20's to mid 30's. Does anyone have any tried ways of acing it? I've heard just do practice tests, but my biggest problems are being pressed for time. And, also is it acceptable to skip reading the lengthy paragraph blurb at the beginning that explains the data? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank you CC!

Yeah, speed is the determining factor on ACT science (I took the ACT w/out preparation, only got a 30 on science when I could’ve easily gotten 33+).

Best strategy is simply to budget your time. Skip a lot of the unnecessary info at the beginning.

Go straight to the questions, don’t bother reading the paragraphs unless it’s absolutely necessary to answer a question.

I got a 35 on the science portion by skipping between passages and doing the ones with lots of graphs/ tables first. As said above, there’s no reason to read the actual passages, just skip to the questions. I saved the fighting scientists part for last.

Thanks so much for all your help guys. I think I’ll try doing the more complex ones first as well. the two fighting scientists you just gotta pay close attention at their differences and then it should be easy
