Need-based aid at UD

I'm accepted to Dayton, and I was wondering, what kind of need-based aid should I expect? How generous has Dayton been to you/your student? I'm not looking for specific numbers but a rough estimate would be nice. I got a phone call last week stating that their fin. aid decisions would be mailed this week. However, I am leaving very early thursday morning for a show choir competition in Tennessee, returning sunday, and I'm not sure when I'll be seeing any letters from them.

I have already received the 42k scholarship for my test scores. Family's EFC is ~7k. If you need any other info, please ask. Thanks in advance.

if you have 42k in the bag, what do you need aid for? not to sound like a dddick, but i’m just confused

I think Sparkles means the $42k is spread over 4 years. I got an e-mail message yesterday, saying our financial aid decision was online. You need to sign in with your student i.d. number and your password is your birthdate.

yes, 42k = 10.5k per year. I have serious financial need and just taking off the price of room and board is nice, but not nearly enough for me to afford to attend.

toledo, thanks. I’ll check my email and the website.

So were the need based awards generous? I don’t need exact number or anything but am curious if U of D will be affordable enough for me to encourage S to explore it.
