and can I do SAT 2 in November and still apply to ED?

I think the deadline for ED is around December, but I'm not positive. Given that it's around that time, I think doing the SAT 2 in November should be fine. Just make sure to get those scores in!

I'm a little confused about Early Evaluation. If you apply EE, does that mean they send you a letter about your chances and then send a decision later? Or do you have to reapply after you find out your chances?
Also, is it possible to apply ED to another school and still apply EE to Wellesley? (I know you have to withdraw the application if you get accepted into the ED school).

I think EE is basically regular decision, only you send it in a little early to get your "chances" early. You don't have to reapply, and you can apply ED elsewhere.

I've just been filling out some Common App stuff, and I'm wondering about one thing: on the activities section, it wants me to select a general, broad category for each activity, then list specifics. So, here's my question: I do several things that fall under the "Music: Instrumental", "Music: Vocal", and "Community Service" options. Should I try to list just one activity per slot on the Common App (e.g. select "Music:Vocal" and say I'm part of A cappella club) or should I try to list all the activities that I do that come under that general category (e.g. select "Music:Vocal" and say that I'm part of A Cappella, School Chorus, After-School chorus, Church Choir, and have sung in the Massachusetts Choral Director's Association Honor Choir)???

Sorry if that's really long and convoluted, I'm just confused and not sure what to do. I'm thinking that I should send in my resume, too, but I want to make sure to get this part right, too. Thanks!

Oh, and as far as EE, I've been wondering why anyone in their right mind would NOT do it, since you find out something a little early and it's non-binding. Is there a reason not to?

Mariposa - Far as I can tell, the only reason you wouldn't apply EE is because you weren't sure you were applying in time, or forgot, or something like that.

For the activities, I think it depends on how you want to feature your vocal stuff. For example, two of my main ECs are the school literary magazine and school paper. Both of them could go under Publications/Journalism, or whatever that one is, but I chose to list them separately because the litmag is my main extracurricular and I've held various positions in it and whatnot. But I've also done a lot of stuff for the school theater program--sets, cast photography, ushering--but because all of those are little bits and pieces and aren't my main focus, I lumped them all together in one section.
I will upload an activity resume in the additional information section...you might try to do that, and then you can list things however you like, without having to file them under ridiculous categories.

Yes, when you apply EE they will send you either three types of letters: a not likely, a possible, or a likely. If you get a likely you can basically be assured that you are going to get in. When you submit your application you submit it for the EE deadline, and it is evaluated early. Then you will get your official decision when the official decisions are available.

As for why people wouldn't do EE, usually it's because they don't understand the process or they don't want to send in their application early.

Mariposa, definitely include a resume. There is always a section dedicated to extra stuff, and copy and pasting a resume is a good choice to make. As for your sections, if you feel that an activity is very important then I would make it its own category. For the minor music stuff, like volunteer work, I would just arrange in the volunteer category. Your resume can help explain activities in more detail later.
