<p>I'm kinda bugging out right now, so I'll make this quick.</p>
<p>Let me first start out by saying that I'm a senior that pretty much just graduated from high school to give you a bit of background. Going out, I had a 3.39 GPA and had taken 6 APs--AP English, AP Lit, AP Cal AB, APUSH, AP World, and AP Studio Art.</p>
<p>Now onto the serious business. I got accepted into UC Riverside, San Jose State, and University of the Pacific. Now, after visiting the three, I chose UCR the best. There were a couple of snags I hit along the way, though. I got a D in AP Lit 1st semester, and a D+ in AP World 2nd semester.</p>
<p>I found out today that they rescinded my admission due to the D's. Now me and my parents are bugging out and trying to run damage control on this whole mess and I'm as stressed as I've ever been! Can anyone on this community please give some advice to me or something?</p>
<p>Contact the school and find out if you take certain classes at a Community College this summer and pass, can you still be admitted.</p>
<p>At the same time, find out if your school will change your AP grades if you pass your AP exams. </p>
<p>Don’t wait to find out about AP exams. First find out about possible summer cc classes.</p>
<p>Also, ask UCR if you can start under “academic probation” which might mean that you have to have at least a 2.5 or 3.0 GPA after fall quarter to continue.</p>
<p>Ah let us know what happens if that’s okay! I’m in the same situation as you except I called the admissions and I’m waiting for them to get back to me to let me know if I’m rescinded or not. So far I’ve found two people on the UCR forums that got rescinded…my future looks grim. Best of luck to you.</p>
<p>Bummer to learn on a Friday; now you get to spend the weekend in despair and uncertainty, unable to generate any options until next week.</p>

<p>By now most community college classes are full but if you can, you may want to try and sign up. Contact UCR and ask them if they will consider re-acceptance based on a good AP test score.</p>
