So I attended Georgia Southern University and was recently suspended for 3 years from the campus due to poor grades. I have attended this college for 3 years and already received an academic appeal. My first few semester were tough and I had a lot of personal problems and mental problems. I picked myself up around a year ago and my past 3 semesters went well (3.0 and up GPA) but sadly it was not enough to bring my overall GPA up to standards of the university. As a result I have been suspended for 3 years despite having already cured myself of the various problems that plagued me in the past. I already went through the whole process of finding myself and taking a break and bla bla bla so I don’t want to pause my education right now. I don’t really know my options at the moment so I was wondering if anyone here can fill me in. I know most colleges don’t accept students who have been put on academic suspensions, so I want to know of my other options.
Do you have adequate financial resources to devote to some form of non-degree training, along with employment? If so, you might consider something like a Computer Coding “Boot Camp,” travel-study abroad, or another non-academic program (e.g. massage therapy, fitness training, et al).
I am currently financially stable. Could you tell me more about non-degree training?
Also do you mind explaining to me some of these options you just suggested?
I think you are old enough to research opportunities on your own, instead of asking strangers on the Internet to seek them out for you.
