I have a 3.67 weighted and a highest SAT score of 1310. I want to major in History and Political Science. What are some schools that would match my stats and are good for my majors?
geographic location doesn’t matter much, but I would like to be in a city or at least have a nice college town. I am paying full tuition. I also come from one of the top 100 high schools in the country
Given you can support financially, I would suggest you look at liberal arts colleges. Many of them have strong history/political science departments. Liberal arts colleges tend to do well when it comes to getting into grad programs (down the road).
Brandeis University is located in Waltham, Massachusetts, which has a really rich history and is only about 30 minutes away from Boston, more rich history. The Department of History there is awesome. I’m not sure about political science, but definitely look more into it!
Gettysburg College for American history - very rural but very historical. Would be a match.
Elmira has the Mark Twain Institute but you need to be valedictorian for their scholarships.
Run the NPC on: Wheaton, MA. SUNY Geneseo. Centre college. Sewanee. Rhodes. St Lawrence. American. Clark. Trinity College. Goucher
Denison and St Olaf are worth looking into.
For a safety, St.Michael’s is in a cool college town.
Skidmore, Connecticut College, Colby, URichmond, as reaches.
What state do you live in?
You have asked the same question multiple times today. This practice is frustrating to volunteers who want to help you – going forward please use one thread so: 1) posters can see suggestions that have been given already; 2) posters don’t have to read the same question over and over; and 3) moderators don’t have to spend time consolidating your threads.
