Need help

im currently going to be a high school sophomore and i have a gpa of 3.3 i was wondering what i can do to make myself seem more attractive to colleges besides the obvious of raising my grades. here is some information about me:
1. as of now i am going to go to a public highschool called lewis and clark but i have the chance to go to a christain private school called gonzaga prep, i was wondering how benificail it would be for me to go there.
2. as of now i want to go to college for some sort of science major
3. i want to go to a private college
4. i am close to being a black belt in karate
5. i ski, i am pretty good but not on a racing team or anything (not sure if this is beneficail)

i really need help in being proactive to get into a good college, im not sure what to do

Does the private school have stronger academics? Like more AP and honors classes? Then I’d go there, especially if your current school isn’t very good (don’t know your school, so you’ll have to judge this).

Colleges need good grades, good SAT, ACT, and SAT II scores, essays, ECs. Try to work on that. Karate would count as an EC. What else do you have for ECs?

That’s great you have a major in mind.

Maybe at the end of sophomore year try taking the ACT or SAT to get a feel for where you’ll be at on it. My sister was a sophomore this past year and she just took the ACT a few weeks ago.
