Need opinions... im a ball of nerves

So I know it's late to ask this question because transfer admission decisions will probably be posted within the next week, but I thought I'd just ask anyways. I am a student at a california community college looking to transfer to UCLA this coming fall as a Political Science student. I am in the honors program, have been TAP certified, I have 80 credits, about 75 transferable, I do not need financial aid, but Unfortunately I only have a 3.45 GPA. Do you think it is possible for me to get accepted to UCLA as a polysci transfer student?

thank you!!!

since no one seems to be hitting this i’ll give it a shot…

for 2009, gpa of applied/admitted/enrolled for polisci was 3.37/3.65/3.62 and it is impacted. just by this your 3.45 looks difficult. HOWEVER, i was always told that TAP can count for as much as 2/10 of a grade point…this would put you exactly at the admitted average for 2009. usually if you can hit the average, you’re solid. depending on strength of ECs and essays, and most importantly if your prereqs are FINISHED, you have a solid shot, IMO

well if the average is 3.65 then a GPA of 3.45, in the honors program, and TAP would be pretty good shot. An average means that there are people above and BELOW the GPA reported. don’t lose hope!
