Okay for Georgetown it asks for a secondary school report but i dont have contact with my hs anymore. What can i do?

Also i transferred out of a state school into another two weeks into the first semester because it just wasnt a fit and for personal reasons and i was able to get into another. I am a freshman btw. Should i explain this in additioninfo and if so, what should i say? And how bad does this look?

Call up your high school and get the counselor’s contact info. The secondary school report is simply necessary. If you haven’t been on best of terms with your counselor you can’t do anything more about it, but surely he/she will remember you and it’s part of his/her work to fill out the report. However, be very grateful for his/her additional help.

As far as transferring within 2 weeks, explain in additional info field that you had the opportunity to transfer and took advantage of it b/c of lack of fit. However, you are still aiming for your optimal educational environment (thus applying for transfer admission again).

Georgetown requires your high school transcript, there is simply no way around it. Also note that, you need a letter of recommendation from a college dean (or so their website says) as well as a professor. (This may make obtaining a letter of recommendation a bit difficult.)

I sent the transcript already but i am asking if they need a recommendation letter from hs as well. I dont think i could provide that and thanks for the help to explain that. But if i say i am looking for my optimal education, will they think that i am a prestige hunter?

From what I remember GU doesn’t exactly need a letter of rec from your counselor, but instead, they need the counselor to fill out a Secondary School Report form where your counselor might answer a few sentences about you and your HS performance.

“Optimal educational environment” means a place where you can grow as a person but MOST IMPORTANTLY a place that will allow you to develop to your greatest potential and CONTRIBUTE to the school. Remember to outline how you can use GU’s resources to contribute to GU as a prospective student.

Oh okay. From what I remember the transcript says a few things about me. And is a paragraph enough to explain my situation? And should I add in why gu is different from the other schools and not just another transfer and how I plan on graduating there if accepted.
