Need some help choosing some match/safety schools

Hey everyone, I'm currently trying to decide which schools I can more or less count on having a good shot of transferring to. I'm looking for either business (finance) or econ programs I can possibly get into at the best school possible with the best placement/alumni network in banking/s&t. These are my stats:

college GPA - 4.0 (trying to keep at least a 3.8+)
ACT - 30 (SAT scores aren't even worth mentioning, retaking both)
EC's - nothing major: part time job 20-30 hours per week, phi theta kappa and a business honors society
HS stats - not good

I'm looking at schools on the east coast only, mostly between the NY-DC area. This is my list so far:

Cornell (AEM)
Georgetown
Brown (econ)
NYU
Lehigh
Villanova
Swarthmore (econ)
Fordham
Rutgers

I know cornell/gtown/brown will definitely be reaches, and rutgers a safety, but where do the rest fall? Are there any other schools I should consider given my criteria? Also, I will not be applying for financial aid if that makes a difference at some of the privates. Thanks a lot for your help and suggestions everyone!

hey transferstudent, I’m on the same boat as you…except i’m a sophomore trying to transfer into Junior year. For AEM make sure you have biology 1 and 2 completed, its a pre-req for transferring, for NYU-Stern you’ll need Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting. May I ask what university you currently attend? I’m at the Kelley School with a 3.63, looking to bring it up to at least a 3.7 this year.

Yep I actually re-arranged my entire schedule to make sure I’d have all of AEM’s sophomore prereqs completed haha, and I actually just applied for the spring 2010 semester since Cornell is my first choice and they offer the rare option of spring enrollment.

I currently go to community college.

Anybody have any suggestions for other schools I may have overlooked? Or “chances?”
