need some help

Hello, I am attending my second semester at a community college in Virginia. I would love to transfer to Virginia Tech after this semester. I got a meeting with the admissions people from tech and they put me on hold until the middle of this semester for my mid-term grades.

Please tell me you opinion if I would get in or not so I can actually get some sleep over this.
Major in psychology
First semester i took 12 credits and got a 3.3 gpa, and I made deans list
Second semester I am taking a full 18 credits and am aiming for at least a 3.4

My high school gpa was terrible though, it was a 2.2 and my SAT combined was 1360. Yea not that good, I thought partying was more fun then studying and didn't really care much so now I'm at CC.

Also, Since I will have 30 credits by the end of the semester and I will most likely take 1 more class in the summer do I need to still send in my high school transcript?

You need to read through the Tech website to see whether or not they will need your HS transcript.

To get an answer for the rest of your questions, pop by the transfer office at your CC. If they send a lot of students to Tech each year, they will be able to give you a good estimate of your chances.

Yea I am so close with the transfer offices at my community college that were on first name basis now, but the only thing they would tell me is that they wont see me at CC next semester but thats only because I have a back up school which im 90% sure I will get in.
I just think Virginia Tech is the right fit so I’m praying that I get in.
