Need some help...

So I received a message today from UMich admissions saying that they're application was now available, but the thing that got me confused is that it said that it would be better if people applied early action which is in November. The problem is with me is that I wanted to apply regular so I can include my first semester of senior year gpa and get a higher score on my act. what should i do?

apply regular action… it is just nice for the students to get a reply earlier if they are all set grade/score wise…there is nothing wrong with applying regular action

what is your GPA? because they rejected almost no one during EA last year so you might as well apply EA and maybe get in then and if you don’t then your app is rolled over into the RA pile

If you are in a situation where one more sitting of the ACT and one more semester’s grades will impact your admissions decision, chances are that your current application is most likely going to be deferred. So it would be in your best interest to apply E.A., as worst case scenario as of now if probably your being considered along with the regular-decision applicants, in case you are deferred.

Sorry typo up top… gpa boost i will NOT be receiving if i apply early

UMich business school please preferred admission

I think they are pretty good stats I just wanted to wait later so my cum weighted would be 4.2 which is above the average for freshman who get preferred admissions into ross, but the act is low by a couple of points too, so i just wanted to see if I can get it up a little higher.

http://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/BBA/BBA_Class_Profiles_2011.pdf</a></p>

The average GPA for preferred admit for 2011 is 3.9 unweighted; ACT 33. They don’t list a weighted as UoM doesn’t weight; but they sure do look at your strength of schedule.

o ok I didn’t see that one the one I saw was this one from 2010 which does weight, http://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/BBA/BBAClassProfiles_2010.pdf</a> , regardless if I wait 'till my senior year grades are added I will have 3.76… which is not the average, but is in the middle 80% according to your link.
