Need some help!

I got a 27 (English - 29…Math - 25…Reading - 31…Science…23) on my latest test with 2-3 hours of preparation. I’ve taken the test 2 times before (23 and 25). Although I mentioned I studied for about 3 hours, I only read tips and a few grammar rules. I never took FULL practice tests with the timing, etc. I haven’t taken any practice math and science sections because I thought those were my “easiest” subjects, at least in the school system they are.

I’m trying to get at least a 32 on the June 11th ACT. Will studying help me? Because in school I am really good at math (I took Calculus and I’ve had an A average throughout the year). I’m doing really bad on the ACT math and science sections. How should I prepare for these sections?

Your strongest subjects should be worked on as well as your weak subjects, because that can easily boost your score with little effort. Taking practice tests is a must. After you’re done grading it, DON’T look at the explanation (if you have the Real ACT book) and try to rework the problem and see what you did wrong. Figure out your weak areas and fix them and you’ll be good
