I emailed the Office of the Bursar asking how to change my meal plan from 14 meals/wk. to 10 meals/wk. Here is all the info available at the moment:

"Students living in University Housing may add/change or cancel meal plans on-line via NYU Home>Housing Forms> Meal Plan Change option starting August 1st.

If you have any questions, please contact us at bursar.studentaccounts@nyu.edu ."

Simple as that. :)

This is kinda similar but pretty different, does anyone know how to get rid of the NYU insurance coverage?
I'm covered by my parents' Oxford plan, so i dont think i need to use nyu's.

And it takes about two or three days to be removed from your account summary. I just checked mine today and it was gone :).

The change was easily accomplished as described-just a couple of clicks.

Yea, a lot easier than I thought it would be...

I changed my meal plan to the 19, but according to NYUHome....it says that it is effective Sept. 3.....does that mean, i have a 14 meal plan until that day, or no plan....and I have to buy my own food?

What is everyone going with?

i was gonna do 10, but I just did the 175 flex instead

I can't decide between the 113 Flex and the 175 Flex. You get 100 more declining dollars with the 113 but... I don't know. Any advice on choosing between the two?

well, you can't do 113 b/c it is apartment style only, haha.

Haha, nevermind then!

Edit: Wait, I just checked the form, and it doesn't have any restrictions like the other ones. Hmm...

really? Mine had restrictions on 113 flex, but not on 175

Why is the 225 flex so much more expensive?? Well I am either going to get the 113 Flex and eat off campus a lot (because I'll be saving $500 and I'll also get the $250 Declining Dollars) or the 19 meal/wk since it's such a great deal.

I can't decide between the 113 and the 175 flex. Both are open without restriction.

well, crap..can we change twice?

Will it let you now? If not, call them.

Are you going with the 113 plan? I can't decide if that is too little for someone on a budget. However, I'll have a job that is only for misc. stuff (I'm not using work study for tution) so I think I'll be fine eating out.
