Need to know if I should re-take my SAT's

So my dream school is Pomona College in Claremont, CA. Now, I just need to know whether or not to re-take my SAT's for Pomona!

Here's my basics:
1st time SAT was 1770, 620 reading 610 writing 540 math :-/
2nd time (and most recent) was 2060: 790 reading 750 writing... but 520 math :(

These math scores are not impressive. But I am planning on majoring in International Relations. So I have no idea!

Other things: 3.73 unweighted GPA without Senior 1st semester grades which will be all A's. So that could boost my GPA.

Speech and Debate team for 2 years with multiple trophies and awards

Plus I come from a small town in Placerville CA but lived in the US virgin Islands for 5 months, so I have a very interesting experience to talk/write about.

Should do well in interviews.
Excellent at writing (essays)
Great letters of Rec.

English: Advanced English, Advanced English 2, AP English, AP Brit Lit
Science: Biology, Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, Physics
Language: French 1, French 2, AP French 3

CLEARLY I am not excelling in math difficulty-wise, though I have a pretty legitimate reason as to why.

So what do you think for Pomona? Should I give up; will re-taking my SAT's really even make a difference? Thank you SO much :)

Are you a minority? What is the issue with math?

I thought that a 540 is not a good score for SAT’s.

And no, I forgot to add I am caucasian

I just meant I wasn’t taking advanced classes

Whether a math score is good or not is somewhat relative. A score of 540 is a little higher than the mean for all test takers which is about 515. Looking at the Pomona web site the average accepted student in 2009 has scores of CR=740, W=730 and M=730. This means that compared to the average student at Pomona while your CR and W scores are a little above average your math score is extremely low. Since you plan to major in a subject that normally does not require strong math skills, Pomona may admit you based on your CR and W scores and not consider the math score as relevant. On the other hand, as part of your distribution requirements you would probably have to take some kind of a math course there even as an International Relations major and they are likely to have serious questions as to how competitive you would be in a math class where the average student scored 730 on the math SAT.
