NEOUCOM & HOWARD 6 year BA/MD programs

Okay....it's almost time for me to apply, and I saw NEOUCOM's requirements for their six-year medical program. Is it true that their ACT score is only between a 26 and 27? And will the program sufficiently prepare me for a future career in medicine? (I mean, I've taken almost every science course I can, from AP BIO to HONORS PHYSICS, to college Chemistry). And I have hardly found anything about Howard's program. I found a PDF brochure, but it did not provide sufficient information on ACTs & SATs, GPAs, and ranks.

Can someone please help me!/ I am very eager to know how NEOUCOM's program is in reality, as well as Howard's program and requirements.

THANK YOU!

Well you should look up Howard University - it is predominantly a black school and I’m not sure but you might have to be black to get accepted. If you don’t have to be black to be accepted, almost everyone else will be black. You should know that before you apply of course as some background information.

As far as the other program you are interested in, I believe you have to be from that region or state to have greater chance of getting in but that could be wrong - you can always call them and ask. Another thing is I think I’ve read some not so nice stuff on this forum about the medical school and program itself.

NEOUCOM accepts only 3-5 OOS applicants. it is not very hard to get in if you are Ohio resident, though. For OOS, you got to be very top. Why are you limiting yourself? Why you are not applying to more programs?

It’s actually called an HBCU-historically black college and/or university! And I’m aware of that:), but you don’t have to be black to be accepted. Look at the previous valedictorian from Morehouse College: [YouTube - White valedictorian:A first for historically black Morehouse](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua_qjsmDGPQ)

Anyhow, I’m applying there this fall and I think you should too…for the medical program.

Good Luck!
