Nervous? Scream!

Wow. Then it'll really suck when I click the link and a page full of words shows up. No need to even really read it then (except for maybe waitlists)

speaking of waitlisting, does anyone know the number of waitlisted people who were later admitted by Yale from recent years?

hey guys...I stayed off the forums for the most part after my EA deferral, but now I'm back due to sheer anxiety, hehe

a friend who goes my school recently got a likely letter from Yale (cue jealousy here), so I'm pretty set on a rejection, but at the same time - wouldn't it be lovely to get in? gah, the thought is tormenting me. I really should go study for my calc test. so anyway, good luck to all! prepare for the worst, hope for the best ;-)

i hear EA deferees don't get likely letters anyway. so no need to despair about that.

I know. I just highly doubt they'd take more than one person from our school, considering our terrible seniors-getting-into-Yale record.

chinchilla! i'm a fellow EA deferee who's back out of sheer anxiety too hahaha. hey, i understand completely where you're coming from. no one had gotten into Yale from my school in at least 6 years and two seniors applied EA this year... one got in. needless to say, i wasn't it, haha. the valedictorian of my school applied RD.. so i'm not too hopeful about my chances=( but you never know........ stranger things have happened :)

hey m_c, thanks for the response :p I just got an email from my regional rep confirming receipt of the update (that's not going to do squat) that I sent like...a week ago. best of luck! and you're right, you never know what can happen...whistles

haha
same i wrote an update letter and it was so good. liek i poured my heart and soul into it. and then a week later i got a reply from my regional rep saying " thanx". i was like sweet...so you really read it.

ohh well im assuming most decisisons are made by this point and they are probably filling stuff and forming letters packages. i hope im in the accept pile.

I sent an update letter in February but never received a response. Does that mean my regional rep hasn't read it? Maybe I'm already in the reject pile and they didn't think it necessary to notify me that they received my letter...

:( :( :(

lewisloftus, I'm sure they've read it
I got a reply cuz I sent via email

damn, i should have emailed then. i faxed and now i have nightmare visions of the fax somehow not reaching them =(

lewisloftus, i haven't recieved a response for the update i sent in february, either. i wouldn't worry too much -- i'm sure they have a lot to take care of. it might make a difference what part of the country/world you're from. i live in asia (only one rep for all of us crazy asian kids) so i imagine my regional rep has a lot to keep track of. don't worry!

i have to ask -- what is your username about? is it your name? cause i'm taking psychology IBS and when i see "loftus" i think of elizabeth loftus.. who did a bunch of studies regarding leading questions and how they can affect the memory of an eyewitness... lol

I took AP Psych last year, so yeah I did learn about Elizabeth Loftus. Cool!

I just got the name off of some textbook, though. Must'be been the author's name or the publisher. That's what happens when you're extremely lazy! ;)
