<p>Is anybody able to get a netflix ready device to work in the dorms? I have a wii and it worked fine on the wireless at home but I can't get it to connect to the wireless at school, and I have a USB/LAN adapter and that doesn't work either.. maybe I am doing it wrong, I just plugged it in and expected it to work. I would assume somebody has a wii or an xbox or something and has tried this, right? Any suggestions?</p>
<p>i think you have to call itcs and have them set up the network for you.</p>
<p>my roommate has an xbox and has the netflix on demand or whatever it’s called on it, but he had to get it set up to the internet first before he could use it and he had to go on a certain website and talk to the people in our community center (i think) to register his xbox before it worked.</p>
<p>Oh that’s interesting. I didn’t know anything about that, I am glad I thought to ask here. As I understand it if you need to log into the internet in order for it to connect it’s not compatible with the wii-- I was able to enter in the security key for the wireless at home but not my UM log in info, so maybe it just plain doesn’t work on the wii, or maybe there’s some way around this. There was some kind of an apparatus that made it so you could use your computer as a wireless hub of sorts, but they’ve discontinued that product and it was only compatible through windows XP anyway.</p>
