NetPay Cornell Bill Question

I'm slightly confused on how to pay my bill for Cornell.

So I signed up for NetPay, and when I log in, I believe I see the total bill for 1st semester. However, it does not seem to be updated because it did not include any of my outside scholarships.

Am I supposed to enter credit card information, and just pay my whole 1st semester bill online at one time?

How does your outside scholarship work? Were they suppose to directly give money to Cornell?

I wouldn’t use your credit card to pay for your bill, Cornell charges you a fee for using credit card. If you can, use your checking acct instead.

Go to your student center, there is a tab for scholarship or FA, see if there is anything there. If your outside scholarship has already sent money to Cornell, get their confirmation number (or proof) and call up the bursar to get credit for it. If the amount is not huge, I would go ahead to pay for the total amount. Cornell will credit you later.

Any outside scholarships sent directly to Cornell may not have been received yet, and if so, will be credited against your loans if you were expected to take out any depending on your parents income. Check to see how much they reduced your loans for the semester first. Then you could always contact FA. Don’t contact the bursar first because they will tell you to call FA. And definitely don’t use a credit card if you don’t have to because you will be charged. If you have the funds in a checking account at this point, have them withdrawn from the account.

My outside scholarship will give a check to Cornell, but will not be able to do so until another week. I emailed the FA office about it to notify them.

My bill is more updated on Student Center then NetPay. For example, I changed my meal plan which is reflected on Student Center, but it is not on NetPay yet.

I got a confirmation that an outside scholarship was sent two weeks ago to Cornell but it still isn’t showing up on my bursar bill. I contacted the financial aid office and I’m still waiting for their response.

I would contact the bursar office to have them follow up on it. Make sure you get your insurance waiver, or it will also show up on your bill.

Ughh, I won’t be able to file my insurance paperwork for another week or so. The health waiver deadline isn’t even until August 31.

How do I contact the bursar people about my bill? Should I contact the Netpay contact number or FA office?
