Using netpay and Bursar Bill

Hey everyone, I just had a quick question.

The due date for the bill is tomorrow, and I've already paid online using netpay, but the bank account has not been withdrawn from yet, and the netpay site only has a tracking number, and doesnt say paid. Should I pay again or wait it out? I dont want to pay the late charge fee if I have to wait it out. Thanks everyone :)

If you were given a payment tracking number, your payment is being processed…so, don’t pay again! The payment has not been withdrawn from the account yet because payment processing can take up to two business days.

Hope that helps! :)

What is the late fee for missing the payment date? Anyone know?

there are late fees, but if your financial aid is supposed to cover it then you should be good…

The following statement appears at the very bottom of every bursar bill:

“Bursar and Cornellcard amounts due must be received by [deadline] in order to avoid a FINANCE CHARGE OF 1.25% PER MONTH ON THE UNPAID BALANCE (15% ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE).”

You can calculate the late fee on your own, since it depends on how much you owe. :)

Yea. I also saw that it said a $350 fee will be assesed in the case that it was a payment made toward registration. Which I assume is this first payment. Kinda sucks since I only needed to pay <$200

I made the payment on Saturday (the due date, August 7th), but NetPay marked it down as being the next business day (Monday, August 9th). Will I be assessed a late fee? If so, why don’t they put the due date as being Friday before the close of business instead of on a Saturday?

If they put it on Friday, would you make the payment on Friday? If so, the next business day is still going to be Monday.
I think you will be fine though. Email them just to make sure + explain what’s going on.

Well, for many who are used to paying instantly online, paying a bill that is due on a Saturday on Saturday is perfectly acceptable. They should be clear that, in order to be on time, the payment should be made before the close of business on Friday. I had just gotten all of the money together in time to do that, but was in no rush because, as I said earlier, the due date was listed as a Saturday. Hopefully this isn’t even an issue, though.

I called the Bursars office and payments are not considered late until Weds.

Thank Goodness.
