I just receive a call from Neumont University that claims to have the best CS program in the nation, better than that of MIT, and that they have a 2-year bachelor degree program that major companies such as Microsoft and IBM hire people from. This sounds like a scam to me, can anyone give me more information / feedback on them? Thanks.

How does one do a 2 year BS program - full time year round?? That would be approximately 65 credits per year??? uuummmmm. An AS degree is 2 years - This schools sounds fishy to me - they are fishing for students............. I would be very leary of this school and their approach to things.

It seems to be a very very exclusive type of program - with absolutely NO wiggle room - if one decided to change major/direction. I would certainly make sure that their credits are transferrable - just in case.

That program is a VERY focused program - not fake but - not what the usual student would be pursuing. As I said - it leaves very little wiggle room - based on 8 ''quarters'' - based on 4 quarter academics - 3 per year - I would feel very uncomfortable considering a program like that - especailly if ANY doubts are considered.

A Neumont rep came to my school. I don't know, there is just something about Neumont that makes me hate it. Quite a few kids were blown away and are now totally into this 2-year program, where afterwards they can look forward to making $70,000 a year (the average for a Neumont graduate)! ungh

I'm actually really curious about this program so I can advise some of my friends.

Really, a college that claims to be CS-oriented cannot have such an abomination of a website. And plus, they have no data for ACT/SAT or % admitted listed on collegeboard.com, which really makes me wonder whether they are not trying to be secretive about the level of their average student.
