Hi I have several good reasons why both majors are appealing, but they are two very different majors that are in separate colleges at the University I am attending in the Fall. Therefore, I think it would be more efficient if I pick between the two soon rather than after I begin picking classes. I am absolutely sure that I want to go to medical school but I know I should have a back up plan. Both majors work in that sense, but more-so engineering. The thing is, neuro seems so interesting. :|
Any input you guys can give? Thank you.

Here is my opinion: Both are great majors for preparing you for medical school, however, make sure you get all he pre-requisite classes you need to even apply for admission to a medical school.

Engineering would probably land you a higher paying job and more job security than neuroscience (at least from what I have observed), but you also want to get into something interesting to you rather than be stuck in a job you hate for the rest of your life (considering if you do not end up in medical school since you said this was a back up plan).
