Neuroscience Summer Programs that are about 1-2 weeks

Hey guys, I'm a high school student looking for summer programs in Neuroscience or Psychology that are 1-2 weeks long. I am doing research with a professor in my hometown, so I can't be gone for 6 weeks, a time period that some programs take up. Thank you all for your suggestions.

This is three weeks, but it looks really cool and they award merit scholarships occasionally.

@yhbultimate11- thank you very much! Unfortunately, I’m a current sophomore. Do you have any other ideas?

CTY has a summer neuroscience class (also three weeks). You’d have to take the sat to qualify though.

@alwaysleah- thank you

Oh, sorry about that! I would say that your best bet is to see if any colleges that you’re interested in have pre-college programs, and then see if they offer courses in psychology or neuroscience. Most will probably be 3 weeks, but I was recently looking at the Emory pre-college program that has 2 week enrichment courses in psychology and neuroscience.

Probably most programs you will find will be pretty expensive, but still rewarding and fun all the same. I think the most important thing in making a decision about which program you want to do is seeing how much time you spend in the classroom, and how much free time you have. (You probably want a more rigorous course, so make sure you don’t have too much free time!)

thanks! keep them coming!
