<p>if they do not feel that i am "suitable" for business will they consider me for my 2nd choice, is that why they do this?</p>

<p>Yes, because some majors are more competitive than others.
(business is somewhat more competitve than CAS for admission)
If you aren't accepted into your 1st choice you can start out in your 2nd choice and if they have room you can apply to switch into your desired major after a semester.</p>
